Shocking! What's on my Jailbroken iPhone 7 - (Unc0ver Jailbreak)

Finally, I got to jailbreak my iPhone for the first time.

For newbies, Jailbreak is simply modifying your smartphone to remove restrictions imposed by the manufacturers of the smartphone. For android users, it's known as 'Rooting'. It's simply customising the user interface of your device and generally having more control over your device.

We believe customising your device is a fundamental right of owning a smartphone - (Ignition App, 2017)



I'd be showing you some of the tweaks I installed and found very useful. I love creativity and also enjoy standing out in a crowd.

I installed unc0ver jailbreak on my iPhone 7 (iOS 12.1.3 beta) which features Cydia and Substrate compatibility. Let's dive in to see the installed tweaks on my device.

                           PICKPOCKET

This tweak known as Pickpocket protects your iPhone when stolen. This is a very powerful tool that enables tons of restrictions on your iPhone when stolen.



Pickpocket also adds a lock screen button that can be tapped in case someone finds your iPhone anywhere. This button displays your information (name, city and country) and the person who found your device will be able to call a predefined number and/or send a mail/SMS.



You can remotely control your phone by taking front picture, rear picture, custom speech and many others.




This app has so many features and options that cannot be described here. This is one of the most powerful apps I've used.

                          ALKALINE

Tired of the boring looking battery in your status bar? Alkaline helps you spice up your battery theme to stand out from the rest.

                      APP ADMIN

A tweak for the app store that allows you downgrade your apps to any previous versions still hosted by Apple. For example, I downgraded to the old Snapchat.

                                          Bloard

This free tweak turns your default white keyboard into a nice light black keyboard that is easier on the eyes. It works on every app with a keyboard.

                     BioProtect X

This tweak protects my apps individually with Touch ID or passcode. It can be configured to protect literally anything on your device. From Snapchat to settings like power down, you name it!



This is the fastest and yet most secure protection!

                          ChromaHomeBar X

This is a colouring tweak for iPhones with home bar like the iPhone X. It also works with another tweak called LittleX and HomeGesture.

                               ColorMyBattery

This tweak colours my battery based on my preferences for the desired battery percentage levels. The options can be configured from the phone's settings.

                            Cylinder

Used to create a custom home screen icon animations. 45 of the animation icon effects can be configured from the phone's settings.
I'm currently using the EmotionUI effect.

                                  DarkMessages

This gives the messages app a full dark-themed makeover. The colour of the message bubbles can be customised for extra personal touch.

                      EclipseDarkMode

This is a dark mode for iOS 12! Used to get rid of that ugly white, retina-burning interface that we dislike. It allows for change of the colour scheme in most applications which includes a true-dark OLED-friendly "Midnight mode"!. Please note that this is not a free tweak. It costs $1 which is equivalent to £0.80

From my usage;

- This lightweight tweak does not consume battery life. The newest feature is dark mode for most web browsers like Safari. 

            Hide Labels and Minimal iOS12

As the name suggests, this package is used to hide docked and/or undocked icon labels, while Minimal iOS12 is the current theme being used on my device.

                              Home Gesture

This is one of my favourite packages as it enables iPhone X home gestures on other devices like the iPhone 8, 7 and 6.

This is simply getting the "iPhone X experience" without the ridiculous cost! This includes the iPhone X status bar, battery icon and other gestures.

It also works with other iPhone X tweaks like DateUnderTimeX and BatteryPercentX.

                                       IGOLED

IGOLED lets you have true dark mode Instagram experience.

             Instagram ++

An Instagram tweak that makes Instagram easier and more convenient to use.

Features:

- Download photos and videos to your iOS camera roll



- Re-Gram photos and videos

- Auto save stories

- Disable DM read receipts



- Show video download button sent to your DM

- Disable screenshot notification

- Show follow status



- Enable text copy

- Show video controls (Play/Pause)



- Verified Profile (spoof)

                            Melior

Melior is a beautiful, highly customisable volume HUD replacement. Look no further if you're bored of the generic and disruptive iOS volume HUD.

                         Mikoto

This is a tweak that allows customisation of various parts of iOS, along with other apps like YouTube and Twitter.

Mikoto tweak does the following;

- Disable the screenshot preview that appears after a screenshot is taken on iOS 11 and 12.

- Block ads from YouTube and enable playback options.

- Customise the network carrier to any text of your choice

- Hide promoted tweets and app recommendations in Twitter

- Enable permanent Low Power Mode on your device.

Other features include:

- Custom unlock and lock screen status texts

- Clear notifications with one tap

               NoSlowAnimations

Pretty much self-explanatory. This tweak disables animations on iOS from slowing your device down. It enables fluid motion by reducing stock iOS animations on your device.

                       NoSub

This tweak blocks or disables the jailbreak substitute in any chosen app. For example, PayPal and Bank apps would not work on a jailbroken device. This tweak let's you hide the jailbreak status when opening any jailbreak-unfriendly app.

                      Safari Plus

I use Safari Plus to download nostalgia music that cannot be found on Apple Music to my local storage. This can also be used to download any music or video from the internet. 

If you're on a budget, you can save money on Apple Music and Spotify by using Safari Plus to manually download your favourite songs and listen offline for free!

                                    Snowboard

Snowboard is a theming engine that allows you apply themes to change the appearance of icons on the screen of your device. It was used to apply the Minimal iOS theme on my home screen.




Also, I used Snowboard to reduce the size of the
icons on my home screen. 

                    Snapchat ++

This tweak adds advanced features to the Snapchat application. Its features include;

- Incognito when watching stories
- Change your location and get custom filters
- Read the chat without the knowledge of others
- Disable screenshot notification on a person's story
- Adds download button to stories.





Personally, I deactivated the tweak until it gets optimised, as Snapchat is in the business of banning users.
